Corporate Real Estate Facility Manager/ CAPEX Coordinator (South Boston, VA) The Opportunity In this role, you will manage facility operations that support a critical manufacturing site within Hitachi Energy's Americas Real Estate business, helping ensure the reliability, safety, and operational readiness of the environment where power grid technologies are produced. You will serve as the on‑site point of accountability for all facility operations in South Boston, VA—overseeing integrated facilities services, coordinating CAPEX projects, and ensuring that building systems perform as designed. Your work will directly contribute to safe, efficient, and compliant operations across the plant by managing IFM activities, reviewing contractor performance, validating CMMS data, and supporting accurate financial tracking in SAP. You will be hands‑on and immersed in the day‑to‑day operations—walking the site, reviewing service quality, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring that preventive and corrective work is completed properly. You will also support space planning, renovations, and facility improvement initiatives, helping ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This role offers opportunities to collaborate with operations, HSSE, and project teams while supporting facility reliability and continuous improvement in a dynamic industrial environment. How You'll Make an Impact Oversee IFM performance to ensure safe, compliant, and high‑quality delivery of facility services. Monitor preventive maintenance, work order completion, and contractor coordination through the CMMS. Review service needs through routine facility walk‑throughs and guide IFM in addressing issues promptly. Coordinate CAPEX activities on‑site, ensuring alignment with plans and HSSE requirements. Track financials in SAP, including expenditures, invoices, purchase orders, and contract costs. Support annual OPEX and CAPEX planning by validating spend, identifying cost transparency issues, and assessing vendor pricing. Participate in audits, inspections, and incident reviews, supporting proper documentation and corrective actions. Coordinate space planning, office moves, and small to mid‑scale renovation projects across IFM, contractors, and stakeholders. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Your Background Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. Education and experience consistent with managing industrial facility operations (as defined in the job description). Experience overseeing IFM providers and third‑party contractors (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, landscaping, or similar services). Background using CMMS platforms for work orders, preventive maintenance, reporting, and asset data management. Experience tracking financials, invoices, or budgets in SAP or a similar enterprise system. Familiarity with OSHA, fire code, HSSE requirements, environmental compliance, and Permit to Work processes. Experience supporting facility projects such as renovations, space reconfigurations, office moves, or production support areas.
