ORA_ON_SITE Description SAIC is seeking a well-qualified Assistant Facility Manager to join an exciting program in Springfield, Virginia .
JOB DESCRIPTION
: The primary responsibility is to support the efficient operation of a customer's site and to inform the SAIC Facility Manager and the customer of any condition affecting building services and facility or personnel safety and comfort. The Assistant Facility Manager will assist with overseeing and managing day-to-day facility operations, coordinating maintenances and repairs, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with safety and security regulations and assisting with budget and financial reporting. Specific areas of responsibility include vendor management, purchasing and inventory control, contracted maintenance, small project management. As part of an integrated facility management team, the Assistant Facility Manager will ensure excellent customer service, be a team player and work effectively with on-site personnel, third party vendors, and all other necessary parties. They will support all aspects of the facility functions which may include but is not limited to maintenance, equipment, machinery, construction, building space allocation and layout, office services, leased properties and furnishings, and communication services.
JOB DUTIES
: Support the Facility Manager in maintaining the daily operations, maintenance, safety and cleanliness of the facility. Monitor and take appropriate actions on approved facility trouble tickets to ensure discrepancies and support requests are addressed in a timely manner. Support scheduled preventive maintenance activities for required systems and infrastructure. Serve as security escorts in accordance with site procedures for all facility vendors. Assist in office space reassignments by moving furniture and coordinating with on-site IT personnel to relocate IT equipment. Transport equipment and supplies in the local area as required using Government resources. Safely operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to move equipment and material. Other duties as assigned by the Facility Manager and serve as the point of contact when the Facility Manager is not on site. Respond to facility emergencies both during and after normal working hours as directed. Ability to work independently as part of a team. Qualifications
REQUIREMENT EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE
: Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Three years or more experience in facility management and operations. Experience in scheduling and performing routine maintenances in a commercial facility. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Shall have a valid driver's license. Effective communication skills are paramount. Candidate must be a US Citizen. A minimum active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI w/CI poly.
