Vancouver Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Temporary Facilities Helper City of Vancouver - 3.8 Vancouver, WA Job Details Part-time $17.13 - $20.36 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Customer service Safe environment creation Clean workspace maintenance Communication skills Entry level Full Job Description Salary Range $17.13 - $20.36 Job Summary The facilities team prepares the event spaces at the Firstenburg Community Center for private rentals. The facilities helper completes room rental set ups, provides assistance to the customers renting the space, enforces the rental and building policies, and helps monitor the building. Successful candidates will have excellent customer service skills, problem-solving skills, and communication skills. Must be able to lift and move tables, chairs and other rental equipment. Evening and weekend availability is essential.
Position Status:
This is a part-time, year-round temporary position, which limits employees to 1040 hours per year.Salary Range:
Hourly rate $17.13 After hours rate $+1.00 After midnight rate $+3.50 Available shifts: Weekday evenings, Saturday mornings, Saturday afternoons, Saturday evenings and nights (as late as 12:30am), Sunday mornings.Job Details Essential Functions:
Assist with a variety of private events including quinceañeras, weddings, receptions, reunions, birthdays, baby showers and meetings. Provide a high level of customer service at all times. Enforce rental policies and procedures. Enforce building policies and procedures. Complete room rental set ups by moving, lifting and stacking tables and chairs. Assist in maintaining a safe environment; Respond quickly and effectively in an emergency situation. Assist in maintaining a clean environment; Cooperate with cleaning efforts post-event. Work effectively with others.Qualifications Experience:
The ideal candidate would be someone with a background in customer service and/or experience with supervision of facilities or events.
