No County Chautauqua Street Address Chautauqua Fish Hatchery City Mayville State NY Zip Code 14757 Duties Description Assist in rearing walleyes and Muskellunge by loading and unloading of fish rearing equipment, feed, fertilizers. Install dam boards in ponds, and unload alfalfa into ponds. Assist in pond tarp folding and storage. General facility and grounds maintenance. some work may be on boats and local lakes. Weekend work not likely, but possible in difficult circumstances. Minimum Qualifications There are no education or experience qualifications for this class. Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and be able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions. When required to operate motor vehicles, incumbent must possess a valid New York State driver's license for the type of vehicle being operated. Additional Comments Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview. Must have a valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Travel may be required. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
