Beckley, West Virginia, United States Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Manager for a contract opportunity with our client in Beckley, West Virginia. Overview The Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing facilities management operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, financial performance, and personnel development within a healthcare environment. The role involves managing plant operations teams and supporting critical facility functions. Responsibilities Supervise and direct the plant operations team, ensuring efficiency across maintenance, financial, CMMS, safety, and regulatory compliance programs.
Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance with the Master Services Agreement and relevant amendments.
Be accountable for financial performance related to operational facilities spend and adherence to budgets.
Track trends and recommend actions regarding KPI/SLA performance for plant operations and engineering services.
Provide oversight/support for maintenance, projects, and vendor activities supporting critical operations.
Ensure staff is trained in proper facility maintenance techniques and create a safe work environment by enforcing safety and infection control policies.
Ensure all building systems and equipment are maintained in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Determine compliance with standards such as NFPA101 Life Safety Code, safety management, security, hazardous materials, and waste management.
Perform additional duties as requested. Qualifications 5+ years of facility management, plant operations, engineering, or maintenance supervision experience.
Managerial experience with proven budget and personnel responsibilities.
Strong organizational and management skills within matrixed organizations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong presentation skills.
Proficient in MS Office and MS SharePoint.
Experience with CMMS/Work Order systems.
Ability to supervise vendor performance during normal, off-hours, including weekends if necessary. Preferred Qualifications College degree in a related engineering field, formal apprenticeship program, or technical trade school.
Relevant certifications such as CHFM, CPMM, CFM, or other healthcare facility management certifications.
