In this role, you will be responsible for the fluid movement of solar manufacturing materials, ensuring that our production lines stay supplied and our finished goods are staged for shipment. The ideal candidate is a precision-driven operator who prioritizes safety and accuracy in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation:
Expertly operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to transport materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility.Material Handling:
Safely load and unload trailers, shipping containers, and storage racking systems.Inventory Accuracy:
Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to scan barcodes, track inventory movements, and precisely locate products for fulfillment.Equipment Care:
Perform daily pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure peak performance and safety.Safety Leadership:
Strictly adhere to all OSHA and facility-specific safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE and maintaining clear travel paths.Stock Management:
Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and stock rotation (FIFO) to minimize waste and optimize space.Team Collaboration:
Partner with warehouse supervisors and production leads to meet daily shipping and receiving deadlines.Qualifications Certification:
Valid Forklift Operator Certification is required.Experience:
Proven track record of operating heavy equipment in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing setting.Technical Aptitude:
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.Digital Literacy:
Familiarity with handheld scanners and inventory control software (WMS).Physical Stamina:
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly. Comfortable standing, sitting, and mounting/dismounting equipment for extended periods.Soft Skills:
Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational habits, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.Job Type:
