Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Reach Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to support warehouse operations. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. Responsibilities Operate forklifts, including cherry pickers and clamp trucks, to move materials throughout the warehouse. Load and unload products from delivery trucks and storage areas efficiently and safely. Perform order picking tasks accurately to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with OSHA standards. Assist in building pallets and preparing products for shipment. Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock movements. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and ensure operational efficiency. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance needs. Requirements Familiarity with materials handling processes within a distribution center environment is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Previous experience in a similar role or within warehouse management is a plus. Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) as needed during operations.
