Order Picker/Forklift Operator People First Employment Azusa, CA Job Details Full-time $21 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Forklift Certification Organizational skills Warehouse experience Construction Materials handling Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. Candidates with a background in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or heavy equipment operation are encouraged to apply. A strong understanding of OSHA standards and mechanical knowledge is preferred to promote a safe working environment. 2nd shift Monday - Friday and Saturdays if needed
Schedule:
2:00 pm -10:30 pm Plus overtime Pay rate: $21.00 an hour Must have experience with Stand up reach forklift, Sit-down Forklift, Rider EPJ and Sit down forklift. Temp to hire #Azusa Responsibilities Operate pallet jacks, reach forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to load and unload materials. Assist with order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to ensure accurate inventory control. Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage. Support shipping & receiving activities by organizing products for shipment or storage. Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to OSHA safety standards. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet daily operational goals. Perform routine inspections on equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly. Assist in materials handling tasks such as stacking, sorting, and moving inventory within the warehouse. Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse distribution or shipping & receiving preferred. Valid certification or experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, crane, or clamp trucks. Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS). Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Experience with RF scanners for order picking is a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Prior warehouse supervisor or construction experience is advantageous but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
