Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cherry Picker Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating cherry pickers and other heavy equipment to efficiently pick, load, and unload materials within a fast-paced distribution environment. Your expertise will ensure accurate order fulfillment, optimal inventory management, and smooth warehouse operations. Responsibilities Safely operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, and pallet jacks to pick, load, and unload materials across the warehouse. Perform accurate order picking using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other inventory control tools. Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper storage. Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment to identify maintenance needs or repairs, ensuring safe operation at all times. Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety standards for materials handling and heavy equipment operation. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock in designated areas and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve inventory accuracy, and implement safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, or similar heavy equipment within a warehouse or distribution center. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking procedures. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting. Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to forklift operation, materials handling, and workplace safety standards. Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting regularly. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Prior experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse distribution is highly desirable. Valid certification for forklift or lift truck operation is preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided for qualified candidates.
