Job Overview Join our dynamic logistics team as a Forklift Operator, where your expertise in heavy equipment operation will drive the efficiency of our warehouse distribution processes. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely handling materials, loading and unloading shipments, and managing inventory with precision. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth warehouse operations, supporting our commitment to timely delivery and exceptional service. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of forklifts including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking using specialized equipment such as pickers and ensure accurate selection for shipping orders. Manage inventory movement using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels and locations efficiently. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and condition. Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic repairs on forklifts and other heavy machinery to maintain safety standards. Support warehouse distribution operations by organizing materials handling tasks, maintaining clean work areas, and adhering to OSHA safety regulations. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve overall warehouse workflow. Requirements Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, loading/unloading shipments, and materials handling throughout the shift. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and warehouse safety practices. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and order accuracy. Valid certification for forklift operation; previous warehouse supervisor experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
