In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing materials handling, order picking, and shipping & receiving operations within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, warehouse management systems, and safety protocols will ensure smooth distribution processes and uphold our commitment to safety and productivity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving warehouse operation while developing your skills in equipment repair, warehouse supervision, and distribution logistics. Responsibilities Operate various types of forklifts including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials safely across the warehouse. Perform order picking using pick techniques and ensure accurate selection of items for shipment or inventory. Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods for quality, and documenting all transactions accurately. Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic repairs on forklifts and other heavy machinery to maintain optimal operation. Assist in warehouse management tasks such as stock organization, inventory counts, and updating the warehouse management system (WMS). Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with team members to optimize space utilization and workflow efficiency. Follow OSHA safety standards diligently by adhering to proper lifting techniques, operating heavy equipment safely, and maintaining a clean work environment. Requirements Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), order picking procedures, and materials handling techniques. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety practices. Ability to lift heavy loads regularly while maintaining proper lifting techniques for safety. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Previous experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse distribution is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
