Full Job Description Client:
Southland Box Company Position Summary The Material Handler is responsible for preparing, moving, and organizing materials to support production across corrugator, finishing, and shipping/receiving departments. This role requires flexibility and the ability to perform various Material Handler functions, including Clamplift Driver, Warehouseman/Checker, or Strapper. As a Strapper, the primary focus is operating the strapper machine and preparing finished pallets for safe and efficient shipment. Key Responsibilities Operate the strapper machine and monitor for strap jams, clearing issues as needed. Prepare pallets for shipment, including applying dunnage and ensuring load stability. Inspect pallets for damage, pest activity, and overall condition. Review finished goods for quality, including trims, load tags, and accuracy. Safely operate forklifts and/or clamplifts to transport materials, dunnage, and finished goods. Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs promptly. Operate additional equipment (e.g., hooder) to support shipping preparation. Accurately fulfill customer orders while meeting production and shipping deadlines. Read and interpret production schedules to plan material handling needs. Minimize waste and production downtime through efficient workflow. Maintain compliance with Cal-OSHA regulations and safely operate powered industrial trucks. Follow all company policies, safety standards, and GMP requirements. Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned by the supervisor. #IND4
