Forklift Job Description PURPOSE It is the goal of Primex Farms to produce safe food products. The Forklift 1 function aims to ensure that the product that is being processed and moved meets all quality and food safety regulations. The Forklift operator is responsible for maintaining appropriate ingredient, packaging, and product flow. Forklift operators will be required to follow company GMP, HACCP, food defense, allergen, hygienic zoning, and other food safety requirements. This position will also require that all Primex Safety practices be followed, such as wearing appropriate PPE and completing forklift safety training. SCOPE This job description applies to the forklift operators during their shift.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS FOR
Forklift I Operators Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Page Break Math and report writing abilities. Bilingual a plus. Able to perform complex math problems. Generate reports. Standing, sitting and walking during 8-12 hour work days. Lifting and carrying 25-50 lb boxes. Must be capable of following complex procedures. Must effectively communicate verbally with other departments and supervisor/lead or Production manager. Must have the ability work together as a team to ensure the highest quality products in the most efficient manner for our customers. Write legible paperwork Recordkeeping Maintain product flow in designated work area while following hygienic zoning and allergen program. This will include keeping pistachios and almonds products separate from each other and from packaging. Perform and record daily forklift inspections and checkout logs. Communicate any issues with forklift equipment to supervisor or manager. Provide services, such as packing and shipping, with other departments Read tags and sort products by tags. Perform transactions accurately and in a timely manner. Use scanning equipment to ensure accurate tracking of inventory within the facility Maintain production logs Report any food safety issues or damages to product, containers, packaging or ingredients to the appropriate personnel. Follow all company and safety policies and procedures at all times. Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, such as wearing hairnet to fully cover hair, not wearing jewelry, not chewing gum and not eating candy or foods while performing work duties.
