Sit Down Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate Location:

$21.00 per hour

Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with opportunities for overtime Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our growing team at a leading metals manufacturing company in Commerce City, Colorado. The ideal candidate will have prior machine operating experience, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment, supporting inventory and shipping activities, and ensuring high-quality production standards are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain manufacturing equipment. Fabricate, manufacture, assemble, and move products according to production requirements. Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure efficient operation. Conduct in-process quality inspections and resolve production issues as required. Assist with preventative maintenance and routine equipment upkeep. Develop a thorough understanding of assigned machinery and manufacturing processes. Interpret production work orders and accurately record production, inventory, and scrap data. Operate forklifts to support manufacturing, inventory management, and shipping activities. Count, record, and report inventory including sheet stock, coil stock, accessory materials, shop supplies, skids, and cores. Spin down pre-slit coil stock and package finished products according to customer specifications. Load and unload customer vehicles, LTL carriers, and flatbed trucks using a forklift. Maintain shipment records and ensure accurate documentation of outgoing and incoming materials. Keep work areas, equipment, and tools clean, organized, and safe. Adapt to changing production demands and work overtime when necessary. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous Machine Operator experience is required. Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus. Ability to read and interpret production work orders and specifications. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic computer and data-entry skills preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required. Comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Ability to safely operate machinery and material-handling equipment.
