Position Summary A Heavy Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe movement of product from the manufacturing facility to the yard for storage or loading on trucks for delivery. This role supports safe, accurate, and timely loading, unloading, staging, and movement of products and materials using forklifts and heavy-capacity equipment. Responsibilities Load, unload, move, stock and stage products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck or other power equipment during the specified shift. Operate Taylor 350 or larger heavy-capacity forklift equipment safely and efficiently. Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of product are loaded. Keep appropriate records and reports to maintain inventory accuracy. Comply with all OSHA standards and company safety policies. Verify load accuracy, check load count, stability, and product damage; report variances as necessary. Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Complete daily inspection of equipment and report maintenance concerns promptly. Actively communicate with production/integration team members and supervisors. Meet loading and unloading time constraints. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Prior forklift experience required. Taylor 350 or larger forklift experience required. Heavy equipment operator experience will also be considered. Ability to safely handle large, oversized, and heavy products. Ability to maintain accurate records and complete required documentation. Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs. Manual dexterity and ability to work in an industrial plant and yard environment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and move throughout plant and yard operations for extended periods. Indoor and outdoor work environment with overtime as needed. Ability to safely enter and exit heavy equipment multiple times during a shift. Required PPE including hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
