Material Handler /
Forklift Operator Location:
Shelton, CT Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM We are seeking an experienced Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Shelton. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is comfortable supporting both warehouse and production operations.
Responsibilities:
Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the facility Stage orders for production and shipment Utilize handheld scanners to track inventory and order movement Load and unload trailers Move finished pallets from the production floor to designated storage or shipping areas Support production operations by ensuring materials are available when needed Verify order accuracy and maintain inventory integrity Follow all safety procedures and company policies Assist with general warehouse and material handling duties as needed
Qualifications:
Previous forklift experience required Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred Ability to use scanners and inventory tracking systems Experience staging orders and loading trailers Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the shift Reliable attendance and strong work ethic This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual who enjoys a combination of forklift operation, material handling, and production support responsibilities.
