Responsibilities:
Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a Logistics Forklift Operator to support our Diversified Packaging team. This role will be responsible for ordering and maintaining inventories of packaging materials for the Diversified packaging area.Additional Responsibilities will include:
Primary job functions for this position will be ordering and maintaining inventories of packaging materials for the Diversified packaging area. Will on occasion need to work more than 40 hours a week and/or work 12 hour days to meet the department needs to cover planned overtime and employee absences. Basic computer and fax skills will be required to complete job functions. Strong written and oral communication skills will be required to communicate with Material Logistics employees as well as department employees in order to coordinate material movements. Candidates must have strong planning and organization skills to ensure materials arrive in a timely manner. Basic operation of compactor equipment will be required when removing trash and cardboard hoppers from the department. Responsible for basic traceability and quality paperwork throughout the shift. Ensure quality of products and work performed meets TBG quality expectations. Ensure the removal of all waste streams from the department on a regular basis to stay in compliance with Tropicana Brands Group quality requirements. Effectively document and communicate with leadership any defective materials discovered during material movements or operation. Foster an inclusive and fair work environment including a workplace free from harassment or favoritism. Promote civil interaction between team members from all departments and aggressively address divisive or hostile behaviors Seek and listen to improvement ideas from team members. Demonstrate strong follow-up on issues brought forward by team members. Facilitate effective communication across department lines. Proactively maintain morale through teamwork and positive interaction with crews. The position is expected to take appropriate action to ensure he/she is well informed of goals, operating methods, purpose, safety issues, personnel issues, etc. at all times.Purpose:

Forklift safety will be the highest priority for the position. Unsafe behaviors on a forklift will not be tolerated. Must adhere to PPE requirements set forth by the department. Ensure all safety rules, procedures, policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are followed. Will remain in compliance with all required peak performance safety training.Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future Must be located in Bradenton, Florida surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment. Willingness to be onsite at the manufacturing facility on a full-time basis Must have or be able to obtain a forklift license. Must be able to safely and efficiently move packaging materials to the production lines including caps, boxes, carton blanks, and any other materials that are required to be moved by a forklift. Packaging line downtime incurred due to waiting on packaging materials will be unacceptable Must be able to twist, reach, bend, lift a minimum of 30 pounds, push 30 pounds, pull 30 pounds and climb as needed. Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
