Job Title:
Electric Pallet Jack Operator Job Description This role involves unloading containers, palletizing, repacking, and handling frozen products in a refrigerated environment using an electric pallet jack and RF scanner. You will work primarily in a 45-degree cooler, ensuring products are accurately counted, organized, and prepared for storage while maintaining efficiency and safety. Responsibilities Unload containers efficiently and safely using an electric pallet jack (CROWN). Palletize products according to guidelines to ensure safe and stable loads. Repack and assemble frozen products for storage in a refrigerated environment. Use an RF scanner to track, count, and verify products accurately. Load and unload pallets and materials in cold storage areas. Count and verify product quantities to maintain accurate inventory records. Organize and stage products in designated areas for storage or further processing. Follow safety procedures and best practices when operating equipment and working in a cooler environment. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area, including pallets and storage zones. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production and unloading goals. Essential Skills Experience operating an electric pallet jack, preferably CROWN brand. Ability to use an RF scanner for counting, tracking, and verifying products. Proven experience unloading containers and handling palletized loads. Demonstrated ability to palletize and repack products accurately and efficiently. Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift and perform continuous physical tasks. Capability to work in a 40-45 degree cooler environment for extended periods. Strong counting skills and attention to detail for inventory accuracy. Ability to load and unload pallets safely in a cold storage setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in cold storage, frozen product handling, or cooler environments. Experience in packing, assembly, and repack operations. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, and pallet organization. Comfort working overtime as needed to support business demands. Work Environment You will work primarily in a 45-degree cooler handling frozen and refrigerated products. Shifts run from 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with regular opportunities for overtime, often extending the day until approximately 6:00 PM. The role involves continuous standing, walking, and operating an electric pallet jack and RF scanner in a cold storage setting. The facility emphasizes safety, proper equipment use, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Medley, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
