- Job Summary The Material Handler will be responsible for managing and moving materials within the warehouse or production facility using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
This role involves ensuring the efficient flow of materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Unload incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of received materials. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular inventory counts. Safely operate forklifts to transport materials to designated areas. Transport materials using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment as needed. Pick and prepare materials for production or shipment according to work orders. Inspect materials for defects or damage and report any issues to the supervisor. Complete necessary paperwork and update inventory systems. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Work closely with other team members to support production and warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in material handling and forklift operation preferred. Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer skills for inventory management. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects. (Up to 50lbs) Communication and teamwork skills.
Pay:
$18.00 per hour.
