In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment, including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks, to efficiently load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and materials handling will ensure smooth operations and accurate order picking. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced distribution environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are paramount. Duties Safely operate forklifts such as reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment to load and unload shipments. Perform order picking with pickers and ensure accurate selection of products for shipping or inventory. Manage warehouse distribution tasks including inventory movement, storage organization, and space optimization. Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, update stock records, and facilitate shipping & receiving processes. Conduct routine equipment repairs and mechanical troubleshooting to maintain optimal forklift performance. Assist with materials handling activities such as heavy lifting, pallet jack operation, and load securing. Follow OSHA safety standards diligently during all operations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and improve workflow efficiency. Support shipping & receiving functions by verifying inbound/outbound shipments and ensuring proper documentation. Experience Proven experience operating forklifts including sit down, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks in a warehouse or distribution setting. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing. Prior experience with order picking techniques using various equipment such as pickers. Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards. Mechanical aptitude for equipment repair and troubleshooting heavy machinery. Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse management best practices is a plus. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and data entry accuracy.
