In this role, you will operate various types of heavy equipment—including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks—to efficiently load, unload, and move materials within our distribution center. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and materials handling will ensure smooth operations, accurate order picking, and timely shipping and receiving processes. Duties Safely operate forklift equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments. Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Manage order picking using warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Assist with shipping & receiving activities, verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation. Handle materials with precision, including heavy lifting and proper stacking on pallets for storage or dispatch. Support warehouse supervisor in maintaining organized storage areas and adhering to OSHA safety standards. Participate in warehouse distribution tasks, including inventory management, cycle counts, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Experience Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar machinery in a warehouse setting. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory control. Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes within a distribution or warehousing environment. Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair or troubleshooting is a plus. Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for accurate load weights and inventory counts.
