Full Job Description Position Title:
Forklift Operator Position Summary We are seeking a safety-focused and dependable Forklift Operator to support operations within a fast-paced print production and digital scanning environment. This role is responsible for safely transporting pallets, boxed records, print materials, and production supplies throughout the facility while ensuring efficient workflow and inventory control. The ideal candidate has forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with production, scanning, and warehouse teams. Key Responsibilities Material Handling & Logistics Safely operate sit-down, stand-up, pallet jack, and/or reach truck equipment as required. Move pallets of documents, records, print materials, paper stock, and finished products throughout the facility. Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments. Transport materials between production, scanning, quality control, storage, and shipping areas. Stage materials for production teams to ensure uninterrupted workflow. Inventory & Warehouse Support Verify quantities and conditions of incoming and outgoing materials. Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and stock replenishment. Maintain accurate records of material movement and storage locations. Organize warehouse and storage areas to maximize efficiency and accessibility. Production Support Deliver supplies, paper, boxes, and production materials to scanning and print departments. Remove completed jobs and transport finished products to shipping or storage areas. Support production teams during peak periods with material handling needs. Assist with packaging, palletizing, and shipment preparation. Safety & Compliance Conduct daily forklift inspections and report maintenance concerns. Follow all OSHA, company, and facility safety guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adhere to document security and confidentiality requirements when handling client records and sensitive materials. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of 1 year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse, production, logistics, or manufacturing environment. Current forklift certification required. Candidates must provide proof of certification prior to employment. Experience operating sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, and/or electric pallet jack equipment. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Preferred Experience in print production, document management, records storage, digital scanning, or document conversion operations. Experience with inventory management systems and warehouse software. Experience handling confidential documents and records.
