In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment, including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks, to efficiently load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and materials handling will ensure smooth distribution operations. Responsibilities Safely operate forklift equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments. Manage order picking processes accurately using warehouse management systems and order picker equipment. Assist with inventory control by conducting regular stock counts and verifying shipment accuracy. Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing items for dispatch and ensuring proper documentation. Perform routine equipment inspections and basic repairs to maintain optimal operation of heavy machinery. Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies to maintain a safe working environment at all times. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate distribution tasks and improve workflow efficiency. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and other warehouse machinery. Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required to communicate effectively with team members and vendors. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs on equipment when necessary. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, stacking, and moving materials safely. Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurement, and documentation purposes.
