Non-Exempt Position Summary The Forklift Operator / Pallet Jack Operator is responsible for safely operating powered industrial equipment to move, load, unload, stack, and transport materials within the Domestic Department. This position ensures the timely movement of products while maintaining inventory accuracy, workplace safety, and productivity standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Load and unload trailers according to shipping and receiving schedules. Move finished goods and raw materials to designated warehouse locations. Pick, stage, and prepare orders for domestic shipments. Verify product quantities, labels, and shipment documentation for accuracy. Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with company housekeeping standards. Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and warehouse procedures. Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required. Support team members and other departments to meet production and shipping goals. Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned by management. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous forklift and/or electric pallet jack experience preferred. Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification through company training. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and shipping procedures. Ability to read and follow work instructions, labels, and shipping documents. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to operate warehouse equipment for extended periods. Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. Work Environment Fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. Frequent interaction with forklifts, pallet jacks, trailers, and warehouse inventory. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
