Required Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Certifications:

Forklift Certification Required Skills and Experience:

• 1+ year forklift experience
• 1+ year warehouse experience
• Obtain and/or maintain required licenses, training, and certifications as needed
• Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents written in English
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Ability to work effectively in a metrics-driven environment
• Basic training in analytical/scientific methods or operational processes (e.g., material handling, inventory management, logistics, manufacturing production)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with co-workers and supervisors
• General computer proficiency

Responsibilities:

• Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products or goods within a plant, office, or warehouse
• May maintain records
• Works within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
• Works under general to limited supervision
• Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques, and procedures within one skill area, process, or method
• Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps

Physical Demands:

• Regularly walk, stand, stoop, kneel, balance, climb, crouch, reach, twist, pull, push, and grasp throughout the shift
• Frequently use hands and fingers for handling, feeling, picking, typing, and repetitive motions
• Communicate effectively through speaking and hearing
• Lift, carry, and move materials weighing 50+ lbs
• Work around moving mechanical equipment and machinery
• Exposure to vibration and varying weather conditions
• Occasional exposure to elevated work areas and airborne particles/fumes
• Work in a non-climate-controlled environment, with hot summer temperatures and limited heating during winter
• Moderate to loud noise levels requiring awareness of surroundings and safety procedures
