Forklift Operator

Emerald is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse, inventory, and production operations. This role is responsible for the safe movement of materials, chassis components, finished goods, and incoming/outgoing shipments throughout the facility and yard. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience operating industrial equipment, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment in warehouse and yard environments Load, unload, transport, stage, and organize materials and products Assist with receiving incoming deliveries and verifying shipment accuracy Support inventory control activities, including counts and material tracking Deliver materials to production departments in a timely manner Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in compliance with 5S and safety standards Inspect forklifts daily and report maintenance or safety concerns immediately Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transport Assist with yard organization and chassis/material movement as needed Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and operational policies Collaborate with warehouse, receiving, procurement, and production teams to support workflow efficiency Complete required documentation and inventory transactions accurately

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred Minimum 1-2 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred Valid forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification upon hire Experience with sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment preferred Basic inventory and material handling knowledge Strong attention to safety and detail Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout shift Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures Ability to safely operate industrial equipment for extended periods

Work Environment:

This position operates in a manufacturing, warehouse, and yard environment with exposure to moving equipment, production activity, varying weather conditions, and industrial noise levels. Proper PPE is required at all times.
