7:00am-5:30pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Forklift Operator for a company in Cedar Falls, IA. This is an associate to hire opportunity. Forklift Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Safely move, store, and organize products within the warehouse while supporting inbound and outbound operations
- Ensure accurate inventory management, proper loading/unloading of trucks, and adherence to quality standards
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move products and materials throughout the warehouse
- Utilize handheld scanners to receive, track, and distribute supplies accurately
- Organize stock and merchandise by properly storing goods in designated locations
- Verify accuracy of incoming shipments and ensure all goods meet quality standards
- Report any missing, damaged, or incorrect inventory to management immediately
- Load outgoing shipments according to company standards to ensure products arrive in excellent condition
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
Forklift Operator Requirements:
- 1-2+ years of sit-down forklift operation experience required
- Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and handheld scanners
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Excellent attendance and reliability required
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently (approximately 50% of shift)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Ability to operate a forklift safely after completing onsite training
- Equipment used includes forklift, pallet jack, handheld scanners, warehouse inventory systems
- Overtime may be required based on business needs and shipment schedules
- Safety glasses provided by the company; steel-toe boots required (employee must supply)
- On-the-job training provided, including forklift certification and safety procedures
