Forklift Operator $18-$20/hr Job Description The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for operating power industrial trucks and machinery to move products, materials, and supplies from one area to another, as well as loading items on trucks, shelves, racks, and pallets. Candidates will be operating stand-up and sit-down forklifts. Responsibilities Operate power industrial trucks and machinery. Move products, materials, and supplies within the warehouse. Load items onto trucks, shelves, racks, and pallets. Manage inventory and handle materials efficiently. Ensure safe and efficient unloading of goods. Essential Skills 6+ months of forklift experience (stand-up or sit-down). Ability to lift up to 75+ lbs. Proficient in basic math skills. Work Environment Work in a manufacturing and production environment that may include exposure to high or precarious places, moving machinery, and significant temperature and humidity changes. Expect dust, odors, and fumes, with loud noises. The facility is not climate-controlled, resulting in very hot conditions in the summer and normal temperatures in the winter. The role is indoors, with a team of approximately 300 employees. Steel-toe footwear is required, and jeans or shorts are appropriate attire. Shift hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Council Bluffs, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.14 - $18.14/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
