Job Description

Job Title:
Cream Cheese Re-stacking Schedule:
6pm - 6am, Rotational working every other weekend. Working only 7 days out of 14!
Immediate Supervisor Cream Cheese Manager FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt Summary:
The Re-stacker is responsible the re-stacking of Cream Cheese after it has been made to get ready for customer specific requirements. Perform janitorial duties as scheduled.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand and follow all Prairie Farms policies, procedures and protocols. Ensure safety, sanitation, GMP s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and quality policies and packaging procedures are followed. Immediately notify management of all unsafe conditions or situations. Re-stacking Cream Cheese, Neufchatel, and other products as needed. Reporting any damages to product supervisor. Packaging equipment operation and care. Forklift operation and care. Sanitation quality. Re-work quality and production. Accurately and correctly complete all required documentation. Supports all production depts. In producing quality products that meet customer requirements. Other duties as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum high school diploma. Must have 2 yrs. experience in dairy manufacturing with cream cheese production experience. Must have demonstrated working knowledge of production operations including, but not limited to troubleshooting, yield and efficiency control, and compliance to quality and safety regulatory standards. Must be possess leadership ability and be able to work with PF team members at all levels within the PF organization and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Should have excellent investigative and negotiation skills. Must have excellent interpersonal skills able to read, interpret and understand written and oral directions in the English language. Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies. Must demonstrate basic math skills to calculate production yields, and understand weights and measures. Must have time management skills and the ability to organize and manage multiple assignments. Must possess the ability to seek out new methods, principles and changes to existing practices that come from active participation in continual process improvement. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft applications and ability to operate a computer. Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods of time. The employee is required to use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms on a repetitive basis. The employee must be able to push, pull, and move up to 100 pounds. The employee must be able to physically lift up to 50 pounds. All jobs require visual acuity to review written documentations; ability to hear and understand speech. At times there can be loud noise which may cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level. There is exposure to a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and exposure to heat/cold temperature changes.
