Role:
The Warehouse Associate/Forklift Boom Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe handling of materials within the warehouse environment. This position is responsible for operating forklift boom equipment to load, unload, and transport goods, contributing directly to the smooth flow of inventory and timely order fulfillment. The role requires meticulous attention to safety protocols and operational procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a secure workplace. Additionally, the associate supports inventory management by accurately tracking and organizing stock, facilitating seamless warehouse operations. Ultimately, this position is vital to maintaining productivity and meeting the logistical demands of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid forklift operator certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire. Previous experience operating forklift boom equipment in a warehouse or industrial setting. Basic understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures. Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with inventory management systems or warehouse management software. Additional certifications related to material handling or safety training. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and compliance standards. Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Operate forklift boom and other warehouse equipment to move, load, and unload granite and marble slabs safely and efficiently. Inspect equipment daily to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance needs promptly. Receive, store, and organize inventory according to company standards and safety regulations. Assist in order picking, packing, and preparing shipments to meet delivery schedules. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and operational efficiency. Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to minimize risk and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize warehouse workflows and resolve any operational issues.
