Forklift Operator - 1st Shift (East Moline) $18/HR Job Description This 1st shift Forklift Operator role supports the shipping and receiving department by safely handling materials, replenishing stock, and maintaining an organized warehouse. You will operate a forklift in an industrial environment, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting, and help ensure accurate and efficient product movement throughout the facility. Responsibilities Operate a forklift safely and efficiently in an industrial warehouse environment. Replenish pick locations from overstock locations to ensure product availability. Stock inbound inventory accurately in designated bin and storage locations. Assist order pullers with picking and staging large orders as needed. Perform material handling duties including loading, unloading, and stock put-away. Support warehouse re-organization efforts when necessary to improve workflow and storage. Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines at all times. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area in the warehouse and shipping/receiving department. Maintain accurate product movement forms and documentation for inventory control. Pull coil orders and other materials as necessary to support production and shipping. Handle multiple priorities and tasks effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment. Essential Skills Previous warehouse and receiving experience. At least 1 year of forklift experience in an industrial setting. Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently for material handling, loading, and unloading. Experience with inventory, picking, and production support activities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment. Strong attention to detail to maintain accurate product movement and inventory records. Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work area. Additional Skills & Qualifications Preferred minimum of 1 year of warehouse and receiving experience. Experience replenishing pick locations and stocking inbound inventory. Experience assisting with pulling and staging large orders. Ability to contribute to warehouse re-organization and process improvements. Strong work ethic and reliability for 1st shift operations. Work Environment This position is based in a smaller team environment within a non-climate-controlled warehouse in East Moline. Temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, so you should be comfortable working in varying conditions. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate but can become loud at times depending on department activities and the use of tools and equipment. You will work on 1st shift in the shipping and receiving area, operating forklifts and handling materials throughout the warehouse. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Moline, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
