Material Handler Forklift Operator

Responsibilities Safely operate various types of heavy equipment including forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the facility. Manage material movement in facility management software to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments, inspecting for damages, and ensuring proper documentation. Perform routine equipment and maintenance checks on forklifts and other machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Support warehouse distribution operations by organizing inventory, stacking pallets, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in accordance with OSHA standards. Collaborate with shift supervisors to coordinate materials handling activities, optimize storage space, and improve overall workflow efficiency. Utilize management systems to track inventory movements, update records, and ensure accurate stock levels. Skills Proven experience operating forklifts,in a production setting. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing. Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, and materials handling best practices. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to inventory counts, measurements, and weight assessments. Understanding of OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety protocols. $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
