Job Description:
2nd shift Material Handler Summary The Material Handler will ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate movement, storage, and processing of materials throughout the Distribution Center. This role is central to supporting daily operations in Shipping, Receiving, Packaging, and Returns, maintaining product identification and traceability through accurate system transactions.
Key Responsibilities Shipping & Receiving:
Inspect, sort, and store all inbound parts, units, and core shipments. Process non-compliant shipments (OS&D reports) according to ISO/ZF guidelines.
Order Fulfillment:
Pick and pack parts for customer orders and shop unit builds using pick tags or RF handheld devices.
System Integrity:
Perform physical and electronic stock transfers. Use computer systems (SAP/BPCS) to bill orders, send ASNs (Advanced Shipping Notices), and issue credits for returned goods.
Material Movement:
Operate various material handling equipment including Reach Trucks, Man-up, and Sit-down forklifts , as well as pallet jacks and cranes.
Inventory Support:
Support Kan-Ban systems and complete "return to stock" transactions for excess parts.
Safety & Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized workspace (5S) and strictly follow safety protocols, including proper use of hand tools and power equipment.
Essential Skills & Experience Experience:
Previous experience in a distribution or warehouse environment is required.
Forklift Proficiency:
Must have experience with Reach, Man-up, and Sit-down forklifts.
Technical Skills:
Basic to intermediate PC skills (Microsoft Office, data entry, and navigating inventory screens).
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 9 hours), walk up to 2 miles per day, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Compliance Knowledge:
Exposure to
ISO 9001, IATF
16949, or TQM standards is highly preferred. .
Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
