In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment, including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks, to efficiently load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse distribution operations, accurate order picking, and seamless shipping and receiving processes. Responsibilities Safely operate forklift equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments with precision. Manage order picking tasks efficiently using warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accurate inventory control. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic mechanical repairs or notify maintenance for heavy equipment issues to ensure operational safety. Support warehouse distribution by organizing materials, stacking pallets, and maintaining a clean work environment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage layouts and improve overall materials handling processes. Follow OSHA safety guidelines diligently during all operations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Skills Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory control. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and materials handling. Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting, loading/unloading shipments, and extended periods of standing or walking. Basic math skills for measuring quantities, calculating weights, or verifying shipment details accurately.
