Inventory Cycle counter & Forklift Driver Proman Staffing - 4.3 Plainfield, IN Job Details Full-time $19 - $20 an hour 6 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Qualifications Lifting equipment Teamwork Forklift Organizational skills Warehouse experience Materials handling Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description Job Summary The Inventory Cycle Counter & Forklift Driver is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through regular cycle counting, or safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to support warehouse operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring inventory integrity, operational efficiency, and timely movement of goods. Key Responsibilities Inventory Control Perform daily cycle counts and physical inventory audits in designated areas Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies; report findings to management Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS) Assist with full physical inventories as required Verify incoming and outgoing product counts against documentation Ensure proper product labeling, location accuracy, and bin management Forklift Operation Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, order picker, etc.) safely and efficiently Load, unload, move, stack, and stage materials and products Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety issues Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures and guidelines Warehouse Support Assist with receiving, picking, packing, and shipping as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet productivity goals Qualifications Experience 1 year of inventory control, warehouse, or cycle counting experience preferred 1+ year of forklift operation experience required Previous experience with WMS or inventory systems preferred Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy Basic math and data entry skills Ability to identify discrepancies and problem-solve efficiently Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods Comfortable working in a warehouse environment (varying temperatures, noise levels) Work Environment Warehouse or distribution center setting May require overtime, weekends, or shift work depending on business needs Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) Previous cycle counting or inventory control training Experience in high-volume or fast-paced warehouse environments
