Job description About Us At Piedmont Candy Company, we create sweet, nostalgic moments every day. As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we're building out our 2nd shift team and we're looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join us.

We are seeking a Part-Time 2nd Shift Inventory Control / Forklift & Truck Driver to support our evening operations. This role is critical in ensuring materials are moved efficiently, inventory is accurate, and production lines stay running smoothly. This position will initially be part-time, but is expected to transition into a full-time 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule starting in July as we expand our 2nd shift operations.

3-8 hours per night Future (Starting July): 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week What You'll Do Operate a forklift to transport packaging materials (boxes, tubs, film) to production lines Ensure materials are staged accurately and delivered on time Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies Use scanners and inventory systems to track product movement Safely operate a company truck to transport goods between locations Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately Support shipping and receiving processes Maintain clean, organized inventory and warehouse areas Perform end-of-shift cleaning and weekly deep cleaning/sanitization tasks Follow all GMP, food safety, and safety requirements Support a safe, efficient, and team-oriented work environment What We're Looking For Forklift experience (certification preferred) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record 1-2+ years of warehouse or manufacturing experience Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and safety awareness Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong communication and problem-solving skills Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout shift Ability to lift and move materials (up to 50 lbs regularly) Frequent use of hands, arms, and equipment Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment Keywords lift-and-shift time-and-attendance particulate-matter packaging packaging-labeling packing-supplies cabinet-construction-materials-hardware good-manufacturing-practice-gmp food-safety environment-health-and-safety-hsse ecology-environment training-certification driving-records paycom
