The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently operating reach trucks to handle materials, manage inventory, and support warehouse distribution operations. This role is vital in maintaining a safe, organized, and productive environment, ensuring timely order picking, shipping, and receiving processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, warehouse experience, and a commitment to safety standards. Responsibilities Operate reach trucks and other forklifts such as Hi-Lo and clamp trucks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking using reach trucks and other equipment to fulfill customer orders accurately. Assist with inventory management by organizing stock locations and conducting regular cycle counts. Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing shipments, verifying orders, and ensuring proper documentation. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain operational safety and efficiency. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve workflow processes. Handle materials safely using appropriate handling techniques such as pallet jacks and heavy lifting procedures. Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times. Assist in warehouse management system (WMS) data entry to track inventory movements accurately. Support team efforts in maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. Requirements Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklifts (including Hi-Lo), clamp trucks, and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures. Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and troubleshooting minor issues. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements. Previous experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving preferred. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Physical ability to lift heavy items regularly and perform manual handling tasks safely. Basic understanding of materials handling equipment operation and maintenance.
