Job Description

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move steel, steel parts, steel frames through the production process.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist supervisors with expediting work through manufacturing process Load, unload, move, stack, and stage steel products/large frames Ensure material is free of damage and report quality variances Maintain the facility's equipment, building, grounds and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion Conduct pre-shift inspection and operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality teamwork Assist team members as directed
