This position is responsible for loading & unloading materials, building loads for delivery, organizing inventory, assisting customers & drivers, & ensuring the accurate movement of lumber & building materials throughout the yard. The role requires the ability to operate equipment in a busy, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate forklifts to move, load, & unload lumber & other building materials. Transport materials between storage areas, staging zones, & loading areas. Ensure materials are secure & protected from damage. Pull, stage, & prepare orders accurately. Assist drivers with locating or loading materials. Verify quantities & product before loading. Report damaged materials, inventory discrepancies, or safety hazards immediately. Provide excellent service to ensure a positive customer experience. Maintain clean & orderly yard areas to support safety & organization. Maintain situational awareness in a busy yard environment with multiple equipment types. Comply with OSHA & company safety standards at all times. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Experience operating forklifts in a lumber yard, warehouse, or construction setting preferred but not required. Knowledge of lumber sizes, grades, & common building materials helpful but not required. Ability to lift & move heavy materials (50 - 100 lbs.). Strong communication & simple math skills.
