Position Overview:
The Production Mixing Technician is responsible for the production of paint from raw materials to finished product by accurately preparing and blending paint products to meet customer specifications and company standards.
What you will be doing:
Assemble, measure and weigh raw materials per batch ticket recipes with precision to ensure consistent product quality Follow time and other instructions from batch ticket Operate mixing equipment, including high speed dispersers, scales and dispensing systems Unload incoming raw materials from pallets, bulk tankers and resin trucks Rotate and properly organize and store raw materials using FIFO rotation Keep containers clean with standard regular acetone cleanouts Complete full cleanouts if necessary Maintain a clean work environment Ensure safety protocols are being followed at all times
Minimum Requirements:
Highschool diploma or GED 3 + years of forklift operations - previous certification required
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong attention to detail and organization Basic math skills Safety oriented mindset Ability to follow direction both written and oral
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing setting Exposure to chemicals, fumes and varying temperatures Requires use of PPE such as respirators, gloves, safety glasses, hard hat and safety toe shoes
Training/Certifications/Registration:
Forklift certification required Additional On-the-Job training will be provided
