Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced 3pl warehouse. The ideal forklift operator will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, including Hi-Lo and reach trucks, to facilitate the movement of materials and products within the warehouse. The forklift operator role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and adherence to safety protocols, including OSHA regulations. Responsibilities Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to move products throughout the warehouse. Load and unload materials from trucks and containers using pallet jacks and forklifts. Maintain accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues for repair. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and ensure timely delivery of goods. Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in training new employees on equipment operation and safety practices as needed. Qualifications Proven experience operating forklifts, particularly Hi-Lo and reach trucks, in a distribution center or similar environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs. Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory and shipments. Understanding of OSHA regulations related to heavy equipment operation. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment under minimal supervision. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Prior experience working with warehouse supervisors is a plus.
