Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. This role involves operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks, to efficiently manage warehouse distribution, shipping, and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to safety standards such as OSHA regulations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to streamlined materials handling processes while ensuring accurate order picking and inventory management. All roles are paid positions, emphasizing the importance of professionalism and safety in a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes to load and unload goods safely and efficiently. Perform order picking using RF scanners and other warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders accurately. Handle heavy lifting tasks and materials movement with mechanical precision while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control. Manage materials handling tasks such as stacking, sorting, and organizing stock within the warehouse. Support warehouse supervision by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns. Participate in inventory counts and ensure compliance with OSHA standards for safe equipment operation. Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform routine maintenance checks. Operate construction-grade heavy equipment when necessary for specialized tasks or warehouse expansion projects. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow efficiency and improve overall warehouse operations. Requirements Proven experience operating forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment within a warehouse setting. Strong background in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving processes. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and materials handling tools. Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation. Prior experience in construction or industrial environments is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods while maintaining attention to detail. Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership skills are a plus for candidates interested in advancement opportunities.
