This role is essential for ensuring the efficient loading and unloading of materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting overall warehouse operations. Responsibilities Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to move products within the distribution center. Load and unload shipments, ensuring that all items are handled with care to prevent damage. Prepare orders daily for fence projects. Prepare orders daily for purchasing contractors Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts to ensure optimal performance. Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular counts and reporting discrepancies. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Sell material to the public Experience Previous experience operating forklifts in a distribution center or similar environment is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation is highly desirable. Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation requirements. A valid forklift operator certification is a plus. Must demonstrate a commitment to safety practices in the workplace.
