Forklift Operator Job Description The Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating a sit-down forklift to load and unload pipes, valves, fittings, and other related products onto and off trucks. The role involves using an RF scanner for counting products for customer orders and printing shipping labels to ensure accurate order matching with shipping services. Precision in counting and order labeling is crucial. The operator will spend approximately 80% of the workday on the forklift and the remaining time on foot, occasionally needing to manually load and move products within the facility. Responsibilities Operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload products onto and off trucks. Utilize an RF scanner to count products and prepare customer orders. Print and match shipping labels accurately with the corresponding orders. Ensure accuracy in counting and labeling to meet order requirements. Manually load and move products around the facility when necessary. Essential Skills 1-3 years of experience operating a sit-down forklift. 1-3 years of experience with pipes, valves, or fittings. Strong attention to detail. Ability to multitask effectively. Capability to lift up to 50lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift experience is mandatory. Steel-toed boots are mandatory due to forklift operations. The facility is not temperature-controlled, which means it can be hot or cold depending on the season. The standard working hours are from 7am to 5pm, with a requirement to work at least two Saturdays per month, occasionally three. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of
