Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Forklift Operator and Warehouse Worker, where your energy and precision will keep our distribution operations running smoothly! In this vital role, you'll operate heavy equipment, manage materials handling, and support shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of products. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment, contributing directly to our company's success. Duties Safely operate fork lifts to move materials throughout the warehouse Perform order picking using electric order picker equipment to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently Manage inventory by utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels, locations, and movements Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments and ensuring proper documentation Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic repairs on forklifts and other heavy machinery to maintain safety standards Support warehouse distribution operations by organizing materials on pallets, stacking loads securely, and preparing items for shipment Follow OSHA safety guidelines at all times, ensuring a safe environment for yourself and colleagues during heavy lifting and materials handling tasks Skills Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, lift trucks, or pallet jacks in a warehouse setting Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshoot issues with heavy machinery Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation, materials handling, and warehouse safety protocols Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomic techniques Basic math skills for counting inventory, measuring loads, and verifying shipment quantities Experience in shipping & receiving procedures along with order picking using various warehouse equipment Warehouse supervision experience or familiarity with warehouse management practices is a plus Join us in creating an energetic environment where your skills make a real impact!
