Job Description
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, stack, and organize products throughout the warehouse
- Load and unload delivery trucks with materials and products according to schedules and delivery requirements
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after each shift to ensure proper working condition and report any maintenance issues
- Complete equipment maintenance documentation accurately and submit reports in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate inventory records and verify shipment contents against documentation
- Follow all warehouse safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment
- Stack and store merchandise in appropriate areas using safe lifting techniques and proper equipment
- Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling materials according to specifications
- Keep warehouse aisles and work areas clean, organized, and free from hazards
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments regarding inventory status and workflow
- Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counting as needed Skills Required
- Valid forklift operator certification or license required
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory
- Basic math skills for counting and verifying shipment quantities
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Dependable with strong work ethic and consistent attendance record
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems preferred
