Forklift Operator

Job Title:

Forklift Operator Position Overview We are seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Forklift Operator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on warehouse experience who is comfortable operating traditional stand‑up or sit‑down forklifts and managing inventory through scanning systems. This is a true contract‑to‑hire opportunity based on performance. Key Responsibilities Operate stand‑up or sit‑down forklifts. Scan inventory in and out using handheld scanners and computer systems Handle pallets including stacking, loading, unloading, and staging Support shipping and receiving activities as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area (sweeping, cleaning, general upkeep) Perform additional warehouse tasks as assigned Required Skills & Experience 1-2 years of forklift operation experience (stand‑up or sit‑down) in a warehouse environment Ability to use scanners and basic computer systems Experience handling pallets and general material‑handling tasks Preferred Qualifications Forklift certification (stand‑up or sit‑down) Inventory experience Shipping and receiving experience Experience using an electric pallet jack Why Work Here True contract‑to‑hire opportunity depending on performance Work within a well‑established manufacturing facility Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bayonne, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
