Forklift Operator

Duties Safely operate various types of forklifts including reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload shipments. Conduct thorough inspections of equipment before and after use, performing basic repairs or notifying maintenance as needed to ensure optimal performance. Manage order picking using warehouse management systems (WMS) and accurately select items for shipping or inventory replenishment. Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to OSHA safety standards. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials, stacking pallets, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions, improve workflow efficiency, and uphold safety protocols. Handle heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment while adhering to all safety guidelines related to OSHA regulations. Qualifications Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, clamp trucks, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), order picking procedures, and shipping & receiving processes. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to materials handling and equipment operation. Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, or weight assessments. Previous experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse supervision is a plus. Excellent attention to detail combined with the physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
