Forklift Operator

Our client, a well-established wine and spirits distribution company, is looking for a Forklift Operator (Turret Truck) to join their team in New Brunswick, NJ . In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating industrial equipment to load, unload, stack, and transport materials throughout the warehouse while maintaining inventory accuracy and upholding strict safety standards on the evening shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely maneuver sit-down/stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, and pallet jacks to move goods throughout the facility Handle incoming and outgoing shipments from trailers and containers Use Radio Frequency (RF) scanners to track, scan, and update inventory locations accurately Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections, check fluid levels, and report any malfunctions Pick, wrap, and stage products for shipment Ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices Adhere to all OSHA safety standards, reporting and addressing hazards and near misses promptly Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements:

Valid, OSHA-compliant forklift certification required (must include formal training, hands-on practical training, and a performance evaluation) Certification must be current and renewable every three years Prior experience operating sit-down/stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and/or turret trucks preferred Proficiency with RF scanners and warehouse inventory systems Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and warehouse best practices Ability to lift, stack, and transport materials in a fast-paced warehouse environment Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently on the evening shift

Pay & Schedule:

Pay Rate:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule:
