Full-Time Position Schedule:
Tuesday•Saturday | 10:00 AM•6:00 PM Join Our Team! Are you an experienced warehouse professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly? We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Warehouse Specialist / Forklift Operator to support commissary operations at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) . This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, operating heavy equipment, and contributing to an efficient supply chain that supports our customers and mission. What You'll Do As a Warehouse Specialist / Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in receiving, storing, moving, and preparing merchandise throughout the warehouse and commissary operation. Primary Responsibilities Safely unload trucks and load transportation vehicles using forklifts and pallet jacks. Operate forklifts up to 15,000 lbs. Verify incoming merchandise against receiving documents and report discrepancies or damages. Route materials to designated storage locations. Store, stack, and palletize merchandise according to established procedures. Pull and prepare merchandise for shipment and stocking operations. Operate manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and propane-powered forklifts. Offload merchandise using forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Rearrange and prepare merchandise for government receipt inspections and visual case counts. Transport perishable and semi-perishable products to designated holding areas. Separate contractor-stocked items from vendor-stocked merchandise and display cases. Inspect merchandise for damage, deterioration, and expired code dates. Maintain warehouse cleanliness through sweeping, mopping, and machine scrubbing. Prepare warehouse backroom areas for incoming shipments. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED required. One year of post-secondary education preferred. Licenses & Certifications Valid Driver's License required. Ability to maintain forklift certification/endorsement. Ability to maintain a valid driver's license. Ability to qualify for a Government Operator's License. Experience Three (3) years of related warehouse experience preferred. Minimum one (1) year experience operating forklifts up to 15,000 lbs. Equivalent combination of education and experience totaling four years may be considered. Background & Screening Requirements Successful candidates must be able to pass: Office of Inspector General (OIG) / CMMS Exclusions Check Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Review Office of Personnel Management (OPM) / Federal Investigative Services Security Clearance Review General Background Check What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
